Protagon, the Toronto based design firm responsible for Fitbit’s award-winning in-store fixtures, needed a distribution solution for over ten thousand newly produced fixtures. Fitbit’s summer sales push is critical to the company’s success, so they turned to the transportation partner they’ve used for years, Champion Logistics Group.
In three months, Champion’s Special Projects Division was able to successfully distribute 11,569 fixtures to various retailers across the United States, Puerto Rico, and Guam. These retailers included Macy’s, Walmart, Best Buy, Staples, Target, Kohl’s and many more. Champion used our nationwide network of local agents to successfully manage the final-mile deliveries of each unit.

Protagon manufactured all fixtures in the Toronto area. From there, Champion transferred the finished units to our 500k square foot facility in Chicago, IL prior to domestic distribution. From Chicago, we were able to seamlessly coordinate the large rollout and deliver to each US retailer in less than three days.
More importantly, Champion was able to consolidate shipments to each geographic region, saving Protagon thousands of dollars over the course of the program. Using Chicago as our DC point gave us the flexibility to meet Protagon’s tight delivery deadlines at each location.
In the end, Champion came in under budget and saw very few fixture damages.
